Last year I resolved to learn to surf. Now I’m no master, but I rode a few good waves, had a lot of fun and can say I did it. I wasn’t sure I would be good or like it, so I decided to take an inexpensive weekend group lesson. They provided a teacher and board. When I arrived there was one other mom and the rest were young kids. I didn’t let that deter me. I followed the instructions and hung 10 as they say. The teenage instructor even complimented me- he said usually older people can’t pick it up so well. (Wait was that a compliment?)
